My name is Daniel J. Smith and I'm the owner of Duck and Dog Woodworks located in small farming community of North Stonington, CT

I was born in Rhode Island and grew up on a small farm where it was encouraged/required to work with your hands. Rural farm life requires you to adapt daily and value quality. Through the years, I've learned many different woodworking/carpentry techniques ranging from joinery all the way to using board axe/draw knives and cabinetmaking.

I have an extensive 20 year background in Design/Engineering. When I'm not working at my regular 7-3 or at "Duck and Dog", Our family loves to be in the great outdoors and entertaining family/friends.

Oh and taking Koko for truck rides for ice cream... can't forget that.

I like long walks on the beach

I don't like to work hard (Who does really?)

I may snore.. ok.. I might snore.. a lot

The gray fur is for show.. 

I make sure the sofa doesn't run away from home..

I like cheese... and cookies... a lot of cookies

I like to sleep and judge my owners work

Fun Fact: The "Duck" part of this company's name is when I was puppy I watched a team (not flock...Dan) of ducks go over my head and I flipped over because I was watching them.. not one of my brightest moments but my owner thinks its funny still.... I don't.
